Personal Journey
As a writer, I create from a place of observation, illuminating moments, people, and sights with the intention of framing them and preserving them in a new light.
Throughout much of my writing life I taught Writing and English courses at Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College.
I owe much gratitude to those writers who have enriched my life and writing: Sylvia Plath, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Li-Young Lee, Joy Harjo, and Ernest Hemingway.
